"We’re very excited. For us, it’s a dream to be here with the first team"
Get to know the VCF Academy players who are doing preseason with Valencia CF.
Valencia CF are already preparing for the Trofeu Taronja, ahead of the start of the 2025/26 LALIGA EA SPORTS season. In this preseason, Carlos Corberán is counting on several players from the VCF Academy: Rubén Iranzo, Vicent Abril, Pablo López, David Otorbi, Lucas Núñez, Alejandro Panach, Alexander Gurendal, Aimar Blázquez, Álex Cerdá and Andrés Caro.
These young Valencianistas have played minutes in the matches the team has played in preparation for the start of the top national competition. “We’re very excited. For us, it’s a dream to be here. We always try to give our best to help the team. Everyone comes with excitement and ambition to do things well and enjoy it,” says Rubén Iranzo.
This highlights the Club and its VCF Academy’s work in developing ELITE players, not only on the pitch but also on a personal level.
“Corberán asks us to be ambitious, to take advantage of the opportunity and to give our best effort, and that’s what we’re doing,” explains Pablo López.
The VCF Academy is one of the best academies in Europe. For the sixth consecutive year, the VCF Academy is ranked among the top 10 academies on the continent. Moreover, in the latest November report from the CIES Football Observatory, the Valencia CF Academy has once again reached 4th place. A total of 26 players are competing in the top 5 European leagues.
